Briton Ferry Llansawel secured a crucial win over Bala Town in the Cymru Premier relegation battle, condemning Bala to relegation and securing Flint Town United's top-flight status. The Lakesiders were in 11th spot and two points adrift ahead of their final game against Briton Ferry Llansawel. Their hopes of survival looked promising when Jacob Tarasenko gave them the lead while Flint had been reduced to nine men at Cardiff Met. But Briton Ferry struck back with two late goals to win 2-1 and condemn Bala to join Llanelli in the relegation zone. That result meant Flint's 2-2 draw was irrelevant as they Flint shook off their Welsh Cup Final disappointment to remain in the top flight. Briton Ferry's win was also not enough to claim seventh place - the final play-off spot - as Haverfordwest thrashed bottom side Llanelli 6-0 which included a hat-trick by Dan Hawkins. It was a miserable end for Llanelli who have confirmed Terry Boyle as their permanent manager.
